How the tools work
Every calculator runs entirely in your browser using transparent assumptions you can adjust. We show the defaults we use and let you override them with your own numbers, so the result reflects your situation.
Where the data comes from
Default rates, prices, and incentives are drawn from public sources such as the U.S. Energy Information Administration, the Alternative Fuels Data Center, the IRS, and provincial utilities. Each tool shows when its data was last updated and links to its sources. Energy prices and incentives change often — always confirm current figures before making a decision (see our Terms & Disclaimer).
